Live in the Mountains!

Become a member of a mountain community!

At The High Mountains, we believe in a different way of life—one that embraces nature, respectfully utilizes the resources of our mountains, and fosters vibrant communities. We understand that the first step toward deurbanization can seem challenging—new places, new faces, new living conditions. That's why we are building a network of people who live in mountainous areas, cherish their homeland, and are eager to see it thrive again. These individuals are Ambassadors of De-urbanization

The role of the Ambassador is to provide you with valuable insights about the village and give you a clear understanding of what to expect if you choose to live there. They can share information about daily life, housing, job opportunities, and local infrastructure. Additionally, they will help you integrate into the community, build new connections, and explore the area’s natural beauty in depth.

How it works

1. You become a member of The High Mountains

Through your annual membership, you join a community of people who love the mountains and are passionate about bringing them back to life.

Upon registering as a member, you receive a questionnaire where you share your needs and preferences, enabling us to match you with the right area and Ambassador.

Based on your profile and needs, we connect you with the Ambassador of the area that best matches your preferences.

You discuss all the details with the Ambassador regarding the area, such as living conditions, housing, and professional opportunities.

With the Ambassador's help, you decide whether to visit the area and explore the opportunities it offers for a fresh start.

The Ambassador guides you through your first steps toward settling in, helps you adapt to the local community, and introduces you to the area's nature and way of life.

Enbrace the mountain life!

Do you want to experience what it's like to live in the mountains?

The High Mountains and our dedicated members, the Ambassadors, are here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Mountain product

The quality designation "mountain product" denotes the distinctive qualities of a product made in mountainous regions under challenging environmental conditions.

Both farmers and consumers benefit from this acknowledgment. It not only makes certain characteristics of the product clear to the consumer but also helps farmers market their products more effectively.

  • Products: agricultural and food products.
  • Specifications: The raw materials and animal feed come from mountain areas. For processed products, production must also take place in these areas.
